Jagten aka The Hunt
A teacher lives a lonely life, all the while struggling over his son's custody. His life slowly gets better as he finds love and receives good news from his son, but his luck is about to be brutally shattered by an innocent lie.
This a very intense movie, as in it got me very frustrated by the whole situation. I loved the movie, the rhythm of it, the aesthetic*, the cinematography, everything about it really. Like always I don't want to reveal much about the movie for those of you who haven't seen it. The reason I was so frustrated and angry about it is the movie touches a very strong and delicate subject, basically the main Lucas (Mads Mikkelson) is being blamed for something he didn't do. For us it's frustrating seeing his life crumble just when things were getting better.
The girl who plays Klara, Annika Wedderkopp, was fantastic in this. It wasn't like other child actors, who already do it very strongly, she really looked liked a confused child. I can't say more than that, but watch the movie if you're looking for something different.
*I blame Aslan and Estée, because of them and their taste in furniture I came to love Danish furniture as well. And the houses in this movie were great.
